I'd like to share the different sleeping postures of Cheenu and Shaku today. At the time when Cheenu was about six months old, he used to love sleeping with his arm around my neck. It was this position he loved best and we would sleep without a care as long as he knew i'm next to him. How i loved his arm around my neck, he snuggled so close to me.. my little baby :-))
Now that Shaku is almost the same age i find he prefers to have his own space even while he wants me next to him. So he starts crying if I so much as touch him or put my arm around him when he's asleep. So i just lie close to him and in between when he wakes up, he opens his eyes (or sometimes with eyes shut too) ,reaches out to feel my face with his tiny fingers, manages to feel my nose or cheeks and then satisfied that it is indeed me next to him, goes back to sleep.
i love sleeping next to both of them... snuggle up close to them and feel their breath..listen to the sound of their soft rhythmic breathing... feel their little pudgy hands and fingers on my face or neck, get a whiff of their Johnsons baby powder fragrance ...that lingers on.. this is bliss indeed for me !!!
Don't you grow up too fast my boys for i cherish these days ...love having you both around me ... love being a part of your children's world...a world where i too get to " sleep like a baby" with you.
